Granny Fearing's Baked Beans
- 21 ounces beans with pork, canned
- 1 large onions chopped
- 12 ounces ketchup
- 1 tablespoon prepared mustard yellow
- 1 1/4 cups brown sugar
- 1/4 cup molasses
- 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 pound bacon thick, smoked
- Preheat oven to 350F (180C).
- In a 2-quart casserole dish combine all ingredients except bacon; season to taste with salt and pepper.
- Criss-cross top with bacon strips.
- Cover with aluminum foil.
- Bake for 1 hour.
- Remove foil and continue to bake 30 minutes longer.
- Serve hot or cold
