Chestnut Rice (With Glutinous Mochi Rice)

  1. Rinse the rice and let it sit in a colander for an hour so the moisture evaporates.
  2. Quickly bring the chestnuts to a boil, then turn off the heat and cool down in water.
  3. Peel and soak in water for an hour.
  4. Put the rice and water in the rice cooker, add the salt and sake, and stir.
  5. Then, add the chestnuts and switch the cooker on.
  6. When it's done, let it steam for 10 minutes, and then mix, taking care not to crush the chestnuts.
  7. Transfer it to serving plates, sprinkle sesame seeds and enjoy.
