Pasta St. James
- 1 lb Italian sausage
- 1 yellow onion, thinly sliced
- 14 cup of chardonel wine (St. James Winery Chardonel)
- 12 pint heavy cream
- 1 (1 lb) box penne pasta
- grated parmesan cheese
- Remove the sausage casings and crumble into a large frying pan.
- Cook sausage over medium heat until browned.
- Drain any excess fat from pan.
- Add onions and saute until limp.
- Add wine and simmer over medium heat for about 10 minutes.
- Add cream and simmer over low heat for about 10 minutes or until thickened.
- Cook pasta according to package directions.
- Drain pasta and toss into sauce.
- Sprinkle with parmesn cheese.
