Mom's Sour Cream Apple Pie Recipe
- 4 good size tart apples
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 2 tbsp. flour
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 (8 ounce.) lowfat sour cream
- 9 inch pie shell
- 1 egg
- TOPPING: Work together till crumbly and sprinkle over pie.
- Peel and dice apples and place in bottom of unbaked pie crust.
- Mix sugar, flour and salt.
- Beat egg; add in to mix.
- Add in vanilla and lowfat sour cream and mix well together.
- Pour over apples.
- Bake at 400 degrees for 15 min.
- Reduce heat to 350 degrees for 30 min.
- Remove from oven, sprinkle on topping and bake for another 10 min.
- Let pie cold at room temperature before slicing.
