Best Black Eyed Peas Recipe
- 1 pound black eyed peas
- 8 c. water
- 4 beef bouillon cubes
- 1 lg. onion, minced
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 3/4 teaspoon hickory salt
- Wash peas.
- Put peas in pan and cover with water.
- Bring to boil; turn off and allow to sit for 5 min.
- Pour through colander and rinse again.
- Put peas back in saucepan and add in the above ingredients.
- Cover and simmer for 2-3 hrs, or possibly till tender.
