Cheesy Beef and Bean Casserole
- 1 (10 count) can refrigerated biscuits (flaky is best)
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 (28 ounce) canbush's baked beans (with onions is best)
- 1 cup barbecue sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 12 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- salt and pepper
- Preheat the oven to 375 Fahrenheit.
- Brown ground beef and drain.
- Add salt/pepper or any desired spices.
- While beef is cooking, cook the baked beans, bbq sauce, brown sugar, and a handful of the cheese in a medium saucepan over medium-low heat.
- When beef is browned and drained, add to mixture.
- Continue to warm until oven is preheated and mixture seems warm and blended.
- Add more salt and pepper if needed.
- Transfer mixture to a 16x9 casserole dish.
- Separate biscuits horizontally (producing thinner circles of dough), and layer over the mixture until mostly covered.
- If the biscuits do not flake apart, you can roll out the dough as well.
- Bake dish until biscuits are lightly golden brown, usually 15-25 minutes.
- When biscuits are lightly golden, spread cheese evenly over the biscuits, and continue to bake until cheese is melted.
- Remove, let cheese cool, and serve.
