Cherry-Vanilla Milkshake With Root Beer

  1. Pour root beer into a baking pan and freeze uncovered, until firm, about 2 1/2 hours.
  2. Using a fork, scrape into small shards.
  3. Cover, and freeze until ready to use.
  4. Puree ice cream and reserved cherry juice in a blender until smooth.
  5. Add cherries, and pulse until combined, but still chunky.
  6. Divide among 6-8 glasses, and top each with root beer granita.
