Bloody Mary Chopped Salad

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a saucepan over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the shallot and saute until soft around 3 minutes.
  3. Deglaze with the vodka and simmer until almost evaporated.
  4. Add the V-8 juice, Worcestershire, vingar, mustard, sugar, horseradish, celery seed and lemon juice.
  5. Let boil for 5 minutes, then add the salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Remove from the heat and chill in the fridge.
  7. Toss the remaining ingredients together in a bowl and season with salt and pepper.
  8. Split the salad among 6 salad plates and serve with the now chilled dressing in shot glasses with the salad on the side.
