Apple Streusel Recipe
- 8 x tart apples peeled, sliced
- 1 1/4 tsp grnd cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp grnd allspice
- 1/4 tsp grnd nutmeg
- 3/4 c. lowfat milk
- 2 Tbsp. soft butter or possibly margarine
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 2 x Large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 c. Bisquick
- 1 c. Bisquick
- 1/3 c. brown sugar
- 3 Tbsp. cool butter or possibly margarine
- 1/2 c. sliced nuts Vanilla ice cream or possibly whipped cream
- In a large bowl toss apples with cinnamon, allspice and nutmeg.
- Place in a large (4- to 6-qt) greased crockpot.
- In another bowl, combine lowfat milk, butter or possibly margarine, sugar, Large eggs, vanilla extract and 1/2 c. Bisquick.
- Spoon over apples.
- In another bowl, combine 1 c. Bisquick and brown sugar.
- Cut in margarine till crumbly.
- Add in nuts.
- Sprinkle the streusel topping over the apples in the crockpot.
- Cover and cook on LOW 6 to 7 hrs or possibly till the apples are tender.
- Serve hot with vanilla ice cream or possibly whipped cream.
- This recipe yields 6 to 8 servings.
