Simmered King Oyster Mushrooms for Bento
- 1 pack King oyster mushrooms
- 1 tbsp Soy sauce
- 1 tsp each Sake, sugar
- 2 tsp Sesame oil
- Shred the king oyster mushrooms into your desired sizes.
- Put the king oyster mushrooms in a heat-resistant dish (preferably a deep one) and pour the ingredients marked with over them.
- You can also use a silicone steamer.
- Cover with plastic wrap and microwave for 2-3 minutes.
- They're done when the mushrooms are softened.
- Mix lightly to blend the seasonings evenly.
- Here's the silicone steamer that I used.
- I also added shimeji mushrooms to this recipe.
- I used 1 pack each of king oyster mushrooms and shimeji mushrooms with 1.5 times more seasoning as listed on the ingredient list.
