Bread: Garlic And Oregano Croutons Recipe
- 2 Tbsp. Extra virgin olive oil
- 3 x Garlic cloves, finely Minced
- 2 Tbsp. Grated Romano Cheese
- 1/2 tsp Dry oregano, crumbled
- 1/8 tsp Pepper
- 6 x 1/3-inch-thick slices of French bread baguette
- Preheat oven to 350-degrees F. Heat extra virgin olive oil in heavy small skillet over low heat.
- Add in garlic and saute/fry' till garlic is just golden brown, about 2 min.
- Drain immediately.
- (Reserve oil for another use.)
- Combine garlic with Romano cheese, oregano and pepper in small bowl.
- Place bread slices on small baking sheet.
- Sprinkle garlic mix proportionately over bread.
- Bake till cheese melts and croutons are golden on edges, approximately 10 min.
