Better-For-You Chocolate Chip Cookies

  1. preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. in a medium bowl, cream together butter, oil and sugar.
  3. Add vanilla, salt and egg white: mix thoroughly to combine.
  4. In a small bowl, mix together flour and baking soda: stir into batter.
  5. add walnuts and chocolate chips to batter, stir to distribute throughout.
  6. Drop by leveled teaspoons of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Bake cookies until golden brown, about 6 to 8 minutes: cool on wire rack.
