Spiced Cider
- 1 quart cider
- crushed ice
- 12 whole cloves
- 8 whole allspice
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- salt
- Combine all ingredients in 2 quart saucepan.
- Bring it to boil, stirring until sugar is dissolved.
- Cool: Refrigerate covered, several hours.
- Just before serving, reheat slowly.
- Strain to remove spices.
- Serve hot in mugs or punch cups.
