Lotus Root Kinpira
- 1 ounce fresh lotus root
- 1 teaspoon cooking oil
- 12 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon mirin
- 1 teaspoon sake
- 1 tablespoon water
- Peel the lotus root and cut in half lengthwise.
- Slice into thin half rounds.
- Soak in cold water.
- Drain well.
- Saute the lotus root in the oil.
- Add the other ingredients and cook for 2-3 minutes.
