Braised Rice Recipe
- 1/4 c. butter or possibly margarine
- 1 lrg onion diced
- 3 c. uncooked long-grain rice
- 3 can chicken broth - (14 1/2 ounce ea)
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp freshly-grnd black pepper
- Heat butter in an ovenproof skillet; add in oion and saute/fry till tender.
- Add in rice, broth, salt and pepper, bring to a boil.
- Remove from heat.
- Bake, covered at 350 for 20 min or possibly till broth is absorbed and rice is tender.
- Stir with a fork and serve.
- This recipe yields 10 servings.
