Meatballs With Cheesy Shells
- 1 lb ground beef
- 12 cup fresh breadcrumb
- 14 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 14 cup parmesan cheese, grated
- 14 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 12 teaspoon black pepper
- 14 teaspoon red pepper flakes, crushed
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano leaves
- 16 large pasta shells
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 12 cup mozzarella cheese, grated
- 14 cup parmesan cheese, grated
- Mix together meat, breadcrumbs that have been moistened with the 1/4 milk, egg, cheese, parsley, garlic and peppers.
- Shape into bite-size meatballs.
- Brown in heated oil until crisp and cooked.
- Meanwhile, heat tomato sauce and oregano.
- Keep warm.
- Cook shells according to package directions.
- Drain well.
- Spoon a thin coating of sauce in oiled baking dish.
- Fill each shell with about 1 tbsp ricotta cheese.
- Arrange in dish.
- Place meatballs among the shells.
- Spoon over remaining sauce.
- Sprinkle with cheeses.
- Bake at 375 about 15 minute or until heated through.
