Spicy Beef & Sausage Stuffed Peppers

  1. Wash hands.
  2. Then wash and remove stems and seeds of each pepper by cutting out the tops, leaving a cup-like design.
  3. Grab a baking pan or non stick dish
  4. Parboil peppers for 5 minutes then set aside, in baking dish
  5. Cook rice according to package.
  6. 5 minute rice works great
  7. Preheat oven to 350F
  8. On the stove top, brown ground beef and Italian sausage.
  9. Optional whether you brown together or separately.
  10. I do it separately.
  11. Combine cooked rice, meat, spaghetti sauce and seasonings.
  12. Remember: Season according to YOUR taste.
  13. Feel free to add more or less than the recipe calls for.
  14. Let flavors simmer for 5 minutes on low so that they can infuse!
  15. :)
  16. Spoon heaping amounts of meat mixture into each pepper, filling up to the top.
  17. OPTIONAL: Use breadcrumbs and a couple tablespoons of melted butter mixed together.
  18. After filling the peppers with meat, spread a little crumb mixture on each pepper before baking.
  19. Then proceed to next step
  20. Bake peppers for 40 minutes.
  21. Top with mozzarella and a dash of oregano and place back in oven till melted and browned.
  22. A broiler could be used as well.

  24. Grab a plate, knife, fork and napkins and dig in!
  25. Mmm, tasty goodness.
