Dilled Green Beans

  1. Cook beans in boiling salted water until tender, about 6 minutes.
  2. Meanwhile, in medium saucepan, melt butter over low heat.
  3. Stir in flour and horseradish if using, and stir constantly 1 minute.
  4. Gradually whisk in milk.
  5. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer 1 to 2 minutes.
  6. Season with salt and pepper.
  7. Stir in dill and pour sauce over beans.
  8. Serve hot.
