Creamy Macaroni And Cheese
- 1/2 onion, minced
- 1 tsp. dry mustard
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1/4 c. margarine
- 1/4 c. flour
- 2 c. milk
- 1/2 lb. mild Longhorn Cheddar cheese, grated
- 3/4 c. bread crumbs
- 1 tsp. paprika
- 8 oz. macaroni, cooked al dente
- In 3-quart pan, saute onion in margarine until translucent. Sprinkle flour, mustard, salt and pepper, continuing to stir vigorously.
- Slowly stir in milk, continuously stirring until mixture boils; boil 2 minutes.
- Remove from heat; blend in grated cheese.
- Drain macaroni well and add to the sauce.
- Spray large baking dish with Pam; add mixture.
- Mix bread crumbs with paprika; sprinkle on top.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 30 minutes or at 425u0b0 for 15 to 20 minutes.
