Apricot Cherry Crumble Bars

  1. Heat oven to 350F.
  2. Place cake mix, butter, almond flavoring and egg in bowl.
  3. Mix well using fork.
  4. Reserve 2/3 cup mixture for topping; set aside.
  5. Press remaining mixture onto bottom of ungreased 13x9-inch pan.
  6. Bake 10 minutes.
  7. Combine apricot preserves and dried cranberries in 2-quart saucepan.
  8. Cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, 2-3 minutes or until preserves are melted.
  9. Spread fruit mixture over hot, partially baked crust.
  10. Sprinkle with reserved cake mix mixture.
  11. Bake 24-26 minutes or until topping is light golden brown.
  12. Cool completely.
  13. Cut into bars.
