Bacon Scallops Recipe

  2. Preheat oven to 350-degrees.

  4. Arrange bacon slices on baking sheet.
  5. Bake till pale golden brown, about 8 min.

  7. Cut each slice crosswise in half.
  8. Cold.

  10. Wrap 1 bacon piece around sides of each scallop and secure with a toothpick.

  12. Preheat oven to 400-degrees.
  13. Place scallops on baking sheet and bake till cooked through, about 10 min.

  15. Meanwhile, boil cream in heavy large skillet till reduced to 3/4 c., about 3 min.
  16. 7.
  17. Add in mustard and syrup and boil till thickened to sauce consistency, about 3 min.
  18. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
  19. 8.
  20. Remove toothpicks from scallops.
  21. Spoon sauce proportionately onto 4 small plates.
  22. Arrange scallops decoratively atop sauce.
  23. 9.
  24. Sprinkle with chives and serve.
