Apple Pineapple Dessert Pizza Recipe
- 1 can refrigerated pizza crust - (10 ounce)
- 1 can crushed pineapple - (15 1/4 ounce)
- 1 can apple pie filling - (20 ounce)
- 1 tsp cornstarch
- 1/4 tsp grnd cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp grnd nutmeg
- 1 1/2 c. shredded sharp Cheddar cheese - (6 ounce)
- 2/3 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/2 c. brown sugar - (firmly packed)
- 1/4 c. butter or possibly margarine
- 1/3 c. finely-minced dry apricots
- Press pizza crust into a lightly greased 11- by 7-inch baking dish.
- Bake at 425 degrees for 7 min; cold.
- Drain pineapple, reserving 1/3 c. juice.
- Combine pineapple and pie filling.
- Stir together reserved pineapple juice, cornstarch, cinnamon, and nutmeg; add in to pineapple mix.
- Spoon proportionately over crust; sprinkle with cheese.
- Combine flour and brown sugar; cut in butter with a pastry blender till crumbly.
- Sprinkle over cheese.
- Top with dry apricots.
- Bake at 450 degrees for 10 to 12 min or possibly till golden brown.
- This recipe yields 8 servings.
