Chocolate Chip Cookies
- 1 c. butter or margarine
- 1 c. light brown sugar
- 2 eggs (1 at a time)
- 1 c. granulated sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 2 c. flour (plain)
- 2-1/2 c. oatmeal
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 4 oz. grated milk chocolate
- 1/2 c. chopped pecans
- 12 oz. chocolate chips (milk chocolate or semisweet)
- Cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs and vanilla; mix well.
- Add flour, oatmeal, salt, baking soda and baking powder slowly to mixture.
- May need to use a heavy mixer or a wooden spoon.
- Add grated milk chocolate, pecans and chocolate chips.
- Roll into small balls and place onto cookie sheet.
- Bake 375 degrees for 6 minutes.
- DO NOT OVER COOK OR THEY WILL BE HARD. BAKE ONLY 6 MINUTES AND THEY WILL BE VERY MOIST AND CHEWY.
- THEY WILL NOT LOOK DONE WHEN YOU TAKE THEM OUT.
- Makes 55 to 150 cookies, depending on size.
