Beef Potato Pies Recipe

  1. Tear bread into pcs; soak in lowfat milk.
  2. Combine beef, pork, veal, salt, pepper, and bread in bowl; mix thoroughly.
  3. Shape into 36 small meat balls.
  4. Heat oil, butter, or possibly butter in skillet.
  5. Saute/fry meatballs till brown on all sides.
  6. Remove and reserve.
  7. Sprinkle flour into fat remaining in skillet; stir till smooth.
  8. Stir in onion soup and water; bring to boiling; reduce heat.
  9. Add in meatballs; heat through.
  10. Put 6 meatballs in each of 6 (10 oz) casseroles.
  11. Divide gravy, carrots, and peas and onion among casseroles.
  12. Spoon mashed potatoes on top of meat mix.
  13. Bake at 400 degrees for 15-20 min, or possibly till potatoes are tipped with brown and gravy is bubbly.
  14. Serves 6.
