Melktert (Milk Tart)

  1. Pastry Cream margarine and sugar.
  2. Add egg, flour, baking powder and salt.
  3. Mix well, and press into 2 pie dishes.
  4. Bake for 10 minutes at 320F (160C).
  5. (Or buy two readymade pie bases - preferrably the shortbread type.)
  6. Filling Boil milk and margarine.
  7. Mix the rest of ingredients into a smooth paste in a bowl and add to boiling milk.
  8. Return to heat and stir until thick (about 5 minutes).
  9. Pour into shells and sprinkle with cinnamon.
  10. Put in the fridge.
