Stuffed Mushrooms

  1. Wash the mushrooms and remove stems.
  2. Lay mushroom caps with the insides up on an ungreased baking sheet.
  3. Chop about 1/3 of the mushroom stems very fine and saute with the onion in the butter or margarine.
  4. Remove from heat when onion is soft and let cool for a few minutes.
  5. Mix in cheese, salami and ketchup.
  6. Fill mushroom caps with this mixture either by spooning it on or if you have a cake decorating bag, this works nicely.
  7. Sprinkle with Italian bread crumbs and bake at 450u0b0 for 5 to 10 minutes.
  8. Broil until brown, watching closely.
