Balsamic Red Onions with Glazed Green Beans

  1. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add onions and cook, stirring occasionally, until golden, about 15 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile, bring a large saucepan of lightly salted water to a boil.
  4. Add green beans and cook, uncovered, until crisp and tender, about 7 minutes.
  5. Drain.
  6. Add vegetable broth to the onions; cook for 8 to 10 minutes.
  7. Stir in balsamic vinegar, brown sugar, salt and pepper.
  8. Add the beans, cover and cook for 4 to 6 minutes.
  9. Serve.
