Honey Cinnamon Candied Yams Recipe

  1. Grease a large ovenproof casserole.
  2. Set aside.
  3. Scrub yams.
  4. Cook in boiling salted water till tender.
  5. Drain.
  6. Rinse in cool water.
  7. Peel and cut in half lengthwise.
  8. Place in casserole.
  9. Dissolve cornstarch in cool water.
  10. Combine honey, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon rind, lemon juice, orange juice, and salt in a saucepan.
  11. Bring to a boil.
  12. Add in cornstarch and thicken, stirring constantly.
  13. Remove from heat.
  14. Add in butter.
  15. Pour mix over yams.
  16. Bake for 15 min in preheated 375 degree oven.
