Better than Spaghetti
- 1/4 cups Diced Onion
- 1 pound Ground Turkey
- 1/2 Tablespoons Garlic Powder
- 1/2 Tablespoons Thyme
- 1 Tablespoon Italian Seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoons Cayenne Pepper
- 1/2 Tablespoons Salt
- 14- 1/2 ounces, weight Canned Diced Tomatoes, Drained
- 4 ounces, fluid Tomato Sauce
- 1/2 Tablespoons Shredded Part Skim Mozzarella
- 1/2 pounds Whole Wheat Penne-cooked
- 1/4 cups Parmesan Cheese
- Dice your onion and saute it with the ground turkey and seasonings.
- Once your turkey is cooked through add your tomatoes and tomato sauce, mix together.
- Add more of the same seasonings if needed.
- Then add your mozzarella and let it simmer for a little bit, about 10-15 minutes.
- Serve over whole wheat pasta and top it with parmesan cheese, grated and little chips of it.
- You can make the parmesan chips by using a vegetable peeler on your parmesan block.
