Spiced Hot Apple Cider
- 2 teaspoons whole cloves
- 2 cardamom pods
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 1 orange peel
- One 64-ounce bottle apple cider
- 2 cups orange juice
- Place the cloves, cardamom pods, cinnamon sticks and orange peel on the cheesecloth.
- Pull the corners up, and tie with kitchen string.
- In a large Dutch oven, combine the cider, orange juice and spice bundle.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, 30 to 45 minutes.
- Remove and discard the spice bundle before serving.
