Cherry Pecan Bread

  1. Preheat oven to 350u0b0.
  2. Cream sugar, butter and eggs until light and fluffy.
  3. Sift flour, baking powder, soda and salt together. Stir in chopped nuts and cherries.
  4. Combine cherry juice, orange juice and water.
  5. Add dry ingredients to sugar mixture alternately with liquid.
  6. Blend well.
  7. Grease and flour the bottom, but not sides, of loaf pan and spoon batter into it.
  8. Push batter into corners, leaving hollow in center.
  9. Let stand 20 minutes before baking 1 hour at 350u0b0 or until tester comes out clean.
  10. Cool before turning out on rack and let stand overnight before slicing.
