Blackberry And Vodka Sorbet With Mixed Berries Recipe
- 5 c. blackberries
- 1 c. superfine sugar divided
- 2/3 c. fresh lime juice divided
- 1/4 c. vodka
- 1/4 c. fresh lemon juice
- 2 tsp Chambord (raspberry-flavored liqueur)
- 3 c. strawberries halved
- 3 c. blueberries
- 1/3 c. vodka
- Place blackberries in a blender; process till smooth.
- Press blackberry puree through a sieve into a medium bowl; throw away seeds.
- Add in 3/4 c. sugar, 1/3 c. lime juice, 1/4 c. vodka, lemon juice and liqueur to black berry puree; stir well
- Pour blackberry mix into the freezer can of an ice cream freezer; freeze according to manufacturer's instructions.
- Spoon into a freezer-safe container; cover and freeze till hard.
- Combine 1/4 c. sugar, 1/3 c. lime juice, strawberries, blueberries and 1/3 c. vodka in a large bowl; stir gently.
- Let stand 2 hrs.
- Spoon 3/4 c. strawberry mix into each of 8 glasses; top each with 1/2 c. sorbet.
