Sweet Hawaiian Turkey Burgers

  1. In a large bowl, mix ground turkey with seasonings, brown sugar, garlic, and teriyaki sauce.
  2. Grate the onion right into the bowl to collect all its juices.
  3. Add the basil, mix well, and form into 4 large patties.
  4. Throw them on your preheated grill and cook until there is no pink left, about 15 to 20 minutes.
  5. While your burgers are cooking, grill your pineapple slices on the grill or on a grill pan.
  6. Just make sure to spray it with non-stick spray and to only flip them once so you get those perfect grill marks.
  7. I cooked mine for about 5 to 7 minutes on each side.
  8. Remove the pineapples and let them rest on a plate.
  9. Immediately drizzle them with honey and toast up your burger buns on the grill.
  10. Assemble burgers on toasted whole wheat buns and top with pineapple slice or slices and baby arugula.
  11. Enjoy!
