Pumpkin Bars With Cream Cheese Frosting
- 1 12 teaspoons baking powder
- 12 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 14 teaspoon ground cloves
- 14 teaspoon nutmeg
- 12 cup softened butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup solid-pack pumpkin puree
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
- frosting
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 14 cup butter, softened
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 3 cups powdered sugar
- Heat oven to 350°F Coat 10 by 15 inch pan with cooking spray.
- Mix together flour, baking soda, salt, cloves and nutmeg in a bowl.
- In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar until smooth and creamy.
- Beat in eggs and pumpkin.
- On low speed, beat in flour mixture and milk.
- Mix 1min or until smooth.
- Stir in walnuts and spread evenly in pan.
- Bake 20min or until toothpick tests clean.
- Cool cake for 1omin, then place on wire rack.
- For the frosting, beat together cream cheese, butter and vanilla until creamy.
- Add confectioners sugar and beat till fluffy.
- Spread over cake.
- Garnish with walnuts if desired.
- Refrigerate for 30min to set.
