Homemade Deli Roast Beef
- 2 pounds Top Round London Broil
- 2 cloves Garlic
- 1/2 cups Olive Oil
- 1/2 cups Red Wine
- Salt And Pepper
- The size of the top round london broil is approximate; you can go bigger or smaller.
- Mince the garlic cloves and add them to the oil and red wine.
- Mix together.
- Add salt and pepper (you can also season the meat with the salt and pepper to your taste).
- Pour the mixture over the meat and let marinate overnight, making sure all the meat touches the liquid (I find using a bag is best).
- Remove the meat from the marinade (throw the marinade away) and sear it in a pan, making sure to brown the outside very quickly.
- Then place the meat in a 300F oven and roast for 20 minutes.
- Remove and let it rest before slicing ever so thin (you need a really sharp knife and slice as thinly as you can).
- Store in a tight covered container and use as needed.
- In my house it does not last more than a week, so I cant say how long you can store it.
