Mexican Casserole
- 3 tbsp butter, melted
- 3 cup corn chex (or chex of your choice)
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 3/4 tsp seasoned salt
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1 dash pepper
- 1 dash onion powder
- 8 oz Tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup Taco sauce
- 15 oz can corn, drained
- 12 slice American cheese
- Combine melted butter & chex.
- Toss to coat well.
- Put 2 cups in bottom of shallow baking dish.
- Crush remaining chex.
- Set aside.
- In skillet, brown beef & drain.
- Add seasonings.
- Mix in tomato & taco sauces.
- Layer half the corn, meat mixture, & cheese over chex in baking dish.
- Repeat with remaining corn, meat, & cheese.
- Sprinkle reserved chex crumbs over top.
- Bake in 325F oven for 35 minutes or until edges are bubbly.
