SUGAR BEAR Paw Cookies
- 1 cup (2 sticks) butter or margarine, softened
- 1-1/2 cups firmly packed brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 cups flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 3 cups sweetened puffed wheat cereal
- 1 pkg. (8 squares) BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate
- Additional sweetened puffed wheat cereal, for garnish
- Beat butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy.
- Mix in flour and baking soda.
- Stir in 3 cups cereal.
- Drop dough by heaping teaspoonfuls, 2 inches apart, onto ungreased cookie sheets.
- Bake at 350F for 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown.
- Remove from cookie sheets.
- Cool on wire rack.
- Place chocolate in heavy saucepan on very low heat; stir constantly until just melted.
- Dip 1/2 of each cookie into melted chocolate; immediately sprinkle with additional cereal for paws.
- Place on wax paper-lined tray.
- Refrigerate until chocolate is firm.
- Store in tightly covered container.
