Calico Apple Cake Recipe

• 1/2 c. Shortening
• 3/4 c. Granulated Sugar
• 2 x Large eggs
• 2 c. Flour
• 1 tsp Cinnamon
• 1 tsp Baking Soda
• 1/2 tsp Salt
• 1/2 tsp Nutmeg
• 1 c. Canned Applesauce
• 1 pkt Semi-Sweet Chocolate Bits
• 1/2 c. Raisins
• 1/2 c. Minced Nuts

1. Cream shortening and sugar.
2. Add in Large eggs and beat.
3. Add in dry ingredients alternately with applesauce and beat.
4. Add in remaining ingredients and mix.
5. Bake in a greased 13 x 9 x 3 inch pan in a 350 degree oven for 40 min.
6. Cold in pan and sift confectioner's sugar lightly over the top
