Popcorn with Cheese

  1. Preheat oven to 325F (slow).
  2. Place oil in a deep, heavy pan or skillet with dome lid.
  3. Heat until oil is hot enough to pop a popcorn kernel.
  4. Pour popcorn into pan.
  5. Cover and reduce heat to medium.
  6. Shake pan over the burner until all corn is popped.
  7. Place popped corn in a shallow baking pan.
  8. Drizzle with melted fat.
  9. Mix.
  10. Sprinkle with cheese.
  11. Add salt, if desired.
  12. Mix.
  13. Heat 8 to 10 minutes in oven, stirring frequently.
