Zee's chocolate chip mix cookies
- 1/4 cup wheat germ flakes
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 1 cup softened butter
- 2/3 cup amber agave nectar
- 3/4 cup unpacked light brown sugar
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 eggs
- 3 tbsp flax seed
- 1/4 cup 5 grain whole oats
- 1 1/2 cup bittersweet chocolate(60% or above cocao) morsels
- 1 cup chopped nuts of choice
- 2 cup unsifted spelt or whole grain flour
- preheat oven to 300F
- stir flour with baking soda, salt, flax seed, oats and wheat germ
- set flour mix aside
- beat butter with sugar and nectar until creamy
- add vanilla and eggs one at a time mixing on low until well incorporated
- gradually blend dry mix into creamed mixture
- stir in chocolate chips and nuts
- drop by tablespoon onto ungreased cookie sheet.
- bake for 9 to 13 minutes or until golden brown
- store extra dough in syran wrap and place in freezer
