Lucky pork and sauerkraut
- 3 lb pork shoulder
- 8 cup sauerkraut
- 1/2 cup dehydrated apples
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 tbsp minced garlic
- 1/2 tbsp dill weed
- 1 tsp dry mustard
- 1/2 cup apple juice/cider
- 1/4 cup oil
- 1 large onion, chopped
- In an oven safe dish heat oil.
- Preheat oven 325 Fahrenheit
- Brown the pork on all sides, and add sauerkraut, onion and the spices.
- Add the salt to the meat.
- Add honey over the top of everything.
- Add cider and apples also.
- Bake in oven 5 hours when done shred the meat and mix with sauerkraut let rest 10 minutes serve hope you enjoy!
- If no apple cider juice or cider, in the store they have apple cider powdered drink mix you can use that.
- Just add water.
