Bit Of Chocolate Chiffon Cake Recipe
- 2 c. flour
- 1 1/3 c. sugar
- 3 tsp baking pwdr
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 c. veg. oil
- 7 x egg yolks, unbeaten
- 3/4 c. cool water
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 1 c. egg whites
- 1/2 tsp cream of tartar
- 3 sqr unsweetened or possibly sweet chocolate, grated
- Sift together in a bowl, flour, sugar, baking pwdr and salt.
- Make a well in center and add in oil, egg yolks, water, and vanilla.
- Beat till smooth.
- In another bowl, beat egg whites and cream of tartar till stiff but moist peaks are formed.
- Fold egg yolk mix into egg whites.
- Mix in grated chocolate.
- Pour into ungreased 10-inch tube pan.
- Bake at 325 degrees for 55 min, then 350 degrees for 10 min.
- Cold 15 min in pan, then remove.
- Frost with chocolate frosting or possibly dust with powdered sugar.
