Ground Beef (Or Turkey) Taco Meat
- 2 Tablespoons Ground Cumin
- 1 teaspoon Paprika
- 1/2 teaspoons Cayenne Pepper
- 1/2 teaspoons Onion Powder
- 1/2 teaspoons Garlic Powder
- 1/4 teaspoons Black Pepper
- 1/4 teaspoons Chili Powder
- 2 pounds Ground Beef Or Turkey
- 1/4 cups Dried Minced Onion
- 1- 1/4 cup Tomato Sauce
- 3 Tablespoons Homemade Taco Seasoning
- 1 Tablespoon Cornstarch
- For the taco seasoning: Blend ingredients in small bowl.
- Set aside amount needed for taco meat.
- Store remainder in covered container in pantry.
- For the taco meat: In a large skillet, brown ground beef until no longer pink.
- Stir in minced onion, tomato sauce and taco seasoning and mix well.
- Increase heat to a mild boil.
- Add in cornstarch and simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Serve on taco shells and garnish as desired.
