Easy and Simple Fluffy Omurice
- 2 rice bowls' worth Rice (or cold rice)
- 100 grams Chicken thigh meat
- 2 Eggs (large)
- 1/2 Onion
- 4 tbsp Ketchup
- 2 tbsp Japanese Worcestershire-style sauce
- 1/2 clove Garlic
- 1 tbsp Olive oil
- 2 tbsp Vegetable oil
- 1 Powdered basil
- 1 Pepper
- 1 Salt
- 1 Cheese (optional)
- Mix the ketchup and Japanese Worcestershire-style sauce.
- Taste and adjust the ratio.
- Mince the onion.
- Finely chop the chicken thigh, then season with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a frying pan.
- Saute the minced garlic.
- Add the chicken thigh and onion, and continue cooking.
- Then, add the ketchup.
- The key is to cook the ketchup before adding the rice to evaporate the water.
- Now, add the rice and mix in with the ketchup and other ingredients.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Add a few shakes of basil powder.
- Dish it up nicely by shaping the rice.
- Top with cheese.
- Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan.
- Butter works too.
- Crack eggs directly into the pan.
- Beat and mix with a spatula (like making scrambled eggs).
- When it begins to harden, spread it out thinly.
- Turn the heat off when it's soft-set.
- Slide it onto the rice with ketchup.
- Voila!
- Top with more ketchup if you like.
