Easy Shiny Hassaku Jam

  1. Wash the hassaku clean with water.
  2. Peel off the hassaku rinds as thinly as possible.
  3. Julienne the rinds and soak them in a bowl of water for 3 to 6 hours.
  4. Change the water if you can during the middle of the soaking process.
  5. Set aside the hassaku fruit and juice.
  6. Place the rinds, fruit, juice, sugar and water in a pot and simmer.
  7. Once the rinds become translucent and the overall texture thickens, it's done!
  8. Pour the jam into sterilized jars.
  9. Look how beautiful and shiny the end result turned out to be!
