Berry Applesauce Recipe

  1. Puree berries in food processor or possibly blender.
  2. Add in 1/2 c. powdered sugar; process till very smooth.
  3. If using raspberries, strain puree into bowl, pressing on pulp in strainer.
  4. Use rubber spatula to scrape mix from underside of strainer.
  5. Mix berry puree with applesauce.
  6. Taste; whisk in more powdered sugar if desired.
  7. Whisk to blend well.
  8. If sauce is too thick, whisk in a little water, 1 Tbsp.
  9. at a time.
  10. Chill in covered container at least 30 min.
  11. Stir before serving.
  12. Serve cool.
  13. Yield: About 8 servings (2 1/2 c.).
