Berry Applesauce Recipe
- 1 pkt Unsweetened or possibly lightly sweetened frzn raspberries or possibly strawberries - (10 - 12 ounce) thawed
- 1/2 c. Powdered sugar- (to 1/3 c.) sifted
- 2 c. Plain applesauce
- Puree berries in food processor or possibly blender.
- Add in 1/2 c. powdered sugar; process till very smooth.
- If using raspberries, strain puree into bowl, pressing on pulp in strainer.
- Use rubber spatula to scrape mix from underside of strainer.
- Mix berry puree with applesauce.
- Taste; whisk in more powdered sugar if desired.
- Whisk to blend well.
- If sauce is too thick, whisk in a little water, 1 Tbsp.
- at a time.
- Chill in covered container at least 30 min.
- Stir before serving.
- Serve cool.
- Yield: About 8 servings (2 1/2 c.).
