Beef Satay With Spicy Peanut Sauce Recipe
- 2 lb Beef rump, round or possibly chuck, sliced 1/4" thick
- 1/2 c. Soy sauce
- 2 Tbsp. Sherry
- 1 Tbsp. Sugar
- 2 slc Ginger (1/2-inch thick), minced
- 1 x Onion, sliced thin
- 1 x Clove garlic, minced
- 1 c. Smooth peanut butter
- 2 Tbsp. Soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp. Sugar
- 2 Tbsp. Rice wine
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. Chinese vinegar
- 1/4 c. Sesame oil
- 1 x Clove garlic, chopped
- 1 Tbsp. Chopped ginger
- 1 tsp Chili paste
- 3 Tbsp. Chicken broth or possibly water, up to 4
- Combine all ingredients and allow to stand several hrs or possibly overnight in refrigerator.
- Thread beef onto metal skewers or possibly wooden skewers that have been soaked in water.
- Broil or possibly grill over charcoal to desired doneness.
- Serve as is or possibly with Spicy Peanut Sauce.
- Peanut Sauce: Blend all ingredients till smooth.
- Serve as a sauce for meat, chicken or possibly crudites.
- Serves 4 to 6.
