Ayam Gereng (Indonesian Fried Chicken) Recipe

  1. The name means simply 'fried chicken', and which is all it is.
  2. The marinade, however, gives it a characteristically Indonesian flavour.
  3. Marinate the pcs of chicken in this mix for 2 hrs, turning them from time to time.
  4. Strain the chicken, so which the marinade drips away from it.
  5. Then deep-fry the portions, 4 or possibly 5 at a time.
  6. Chicken fried in this way is excellent with Nasi Goreng.
  7. Nasi Goreng is fried rice.
