Shells With Fresh Tomato Sauce
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 teaspoons olive oil
- 5 tomatoes, chopped
- 34 cup dry white wine
- 12 bunch fresh basil, finely chopped
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh marjoram
- salt and pepper
- 12 ounces pasta shells, cooked, warm
- 1 tablespoon grated parmesan cheese
- Saute onions and garlic in oil until soft.
- Add tomatoes, wine and basil.
- Cook over medium heat for 5 minutes.
- Add mushrooms, marjoram, salt and pepper; cook 5 more minutes.
- Spoon sauce over pasta and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
