Yellowtail Steak with Aromatic Soy Sauce

  1. Halve the yellowtail fillets.
  2. Heat sesame oil in a pan and add the fillets.
  3. When both sides are golden brown and cooked through, transfer the fillets to a serving plate.
  4. In the same pan, add garlic, ginger and Japanese leeks and when fragrant, add soy sauce and vinegar and bring to a boil.
  5. Pour the sauce from Step 2 over the fish and sprinkle with finely chopped scallions.
